Once he stops, the people give him food, entertain him. That is one aspect of Ubuntu, but it will have various aspects. Ubuntu does not mean that people should not enrich themselves. The question therefore is: Are you going to do so in order to enable the community around you to be able to improve?

BESPOKE SHOES

Hello lovelies,

I am so excited and proud to say that my wonderful boss is now the founder of the charity Atma which helps children and adults in India find the right education they need and deserve.
I read some shocking statistics

-20% of India’s poor have no access to education
-86% have no access to technical and vocal training
-45% drop out before 8th grade
-By 2015, 65% of the Indian population will be youth
-By 2050, 50% of the worlds illiterate will be in India.

So Kanch and I have organised some events to help raise awareness for the charity and in the coming week we will be hosting a Bespoke Shoes Workshop where you can learn how to customise, fit, measure and learn what goes into making your ideal shoe over some wine and nibbles. Talk to founders of Shoe Artistry and their shoe master with 30 years of experience behind his belt.

**I went a few weeks ago to Shoe Artistry in Mong Kok and was suprised to hear that Kanch was getting me a pair of Bespoke shoes for my birthday!!! So when we had our little brain storming meeting, we both had our feet measured for our new shoes. Can’t wait to see what they look like!

So Hong Kong is buzzing as of late because of the arrival of the Abercrombie and Fitch models that have been flown in from all over the world and have been spotted and photographed around Hong Kong.

The Abercrombie and Fitch store that will be on Pedder Street in Central, where Shanghai Tang used to be will open its doors this August 11th at 11am!

WOODEN HEART

I recently purchase a large amount on Asos.com and I had seen a wooden heart necklace by Gogo Philip which i fell in love with, plus it was on sale so bonus!
I loved the idea of having a wood pendant, never seen anything like that before so i had to get it!

EARRINGS

I got new earrings, for pretty cheap as well and the quality is great.
I love how they’re kind of 50s inspired, vintage!
I’m sad that the flash ruined the colour of the first pair, its like a really light teal colour.

DIOR WAS A BORE.

It seems that Dior have been busy since John Galliano’s departure and dismissal from his own brand.

Dior showcased their AW 2011 Haute Couture collection in Paris last Monday.

So how would I describe the show? A mess, not even a hot mess, It was just all over the place, no consistency, boring and quite chaotic.
The past few Dior Haute Couture collections were fantastic, well constructed, glamorous, sexy , feminine, and truly Haute Couture- worth its price, this collection however…bleeuuhh. I’m also sure that celebrities won’t be rushing to sport the new collection.

The collection featured some clown attire and large plastic round embellishments that looked like fish scales.
There was a lot of mixing and matching, print skirt, print corset, large ruffle collars and to top it off a large ball on the model’s head; super fugly.

Many critics and reviews have been quite embarrassing for the fashion house and when the show ended, there wasn’t much applause.

Although I believe Galliano was wrong in doing what he did, the situation was unclear. He was being rude, racist and obnoxious but he was also drunk and being filmed by random people that were egging him on.

The only thing i enjoyed about the show was my favourite model Karlie Kloss, i adore her, she worked the runway even though she was given the most ridiculous accessories and her gown was made of pieces of different material OMG IT WAS A MESS I TELL YOU!

We can’t deny that Galliano has got talent and impeccable skill, passion for fashion and an eye for design

I think this collection was really amateur and that is not expected of Dior- Certainly not their Haute Couture collection.

WHAT IS GOING ON!!??!?!

I think I agree with everyone on this- BRING GALLIANO BACK!

Came across these gorgeous Kurt Gieger wedges… I’m in love.
They look super comfy & my favourite colour is Green : )

Also got these Zara shoes not too long ago, wore them to the Miele Fashion show last month. I want to get the yellow ones now……
